The Vjosa runs un-dammed from the Pindus mountains to the Adriatic, and its fish still move the way they always have. Your guide knows the quiet bends and gravel bars the road never reaches, and drives you there from Përmet in the morning while the water is still.
You learn the local technique - the rods, the bait, the reading of the current - at a pace that suits a slow morning. There is a break on the bank with local refreshments, time to swim if you like, and the round trip back to Përmet is included. No experience is needed.

Good to know
No. Rods, tackle and bait are all provided, and the guide sets everything up with you on the bank. Bring your own gear if you prefer it.
Yes - it is a calm half day on the riverbank and families are very welcome. Children fish alongside a parent and the guide keeps everyone well away from the fast water.
