Who we are

Illyrian Adventures is a rafting, kayaking and mountain-tour operator based in Përmet, Albania. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact details are at the foot of this page.

What we collect and why

When you request a booking through this site we store the details you type into the form so that we can confirm the trip and reach you about it:

• your name, email address and phone number;
• the trip, date, start time or nights and the number of guests;
• anything you write in the notes box - children's ages, swimming ability, dietary needs;
• the booking reference, its status, and a timeline of changes made to it.

Messages on WhatsApp and email

The contact form and the WhatsApp buttons open a message in your own WhatsApp app. Nothing you type there is stored by this website; it goes to WhatsApp under WhatsApp's own privacy terms. The same applies to email you send us directly.

Payments

Once we confirm a booking we ask for a 20% deposit and send the payment details on WhatsApp; the rest is paid in person on the day. This website takes no payment and stores no card details.

Cookies and analytics

The site itself sets one cookie, and only for our own staff when they sign in to the back office. If we have enabled them, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel may set cookies to measure how visitors reach the site and which pages they use, and to show our adverts to people who visited. These tools are operated by Google and Meta under their own privacy policies. You can block them with your browser's tracking protection or a content blocker without affecting the site.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet Albanian accounting and tax rules, then deleted. Cancelled requests that never became a trip are deleted at the end of the season in which they were made.

Who sees it

Only our office team, on the systems we use to run bookings. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else. Our web host in Albania stores the booking database on our behalf.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and we will do so unless a legal duty requires us to keep a record. Write to the email address below. You can also complain to the Albanian Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDP).
