We meet at the Ottoman bridge at Bënja and walk up into the Langarica canyon, where the walls close to a few metres and the water runs cold and clear to the knee. It is a walk, a wade and, in places, a swim - the gorge decides which.
The trek finishes back at the thermal springs, where 28-degree water pools beside the 300-year-old bridge. Easy to moderate, suitable for families and anyone happy on uneven ground, with a guide who knows every turn of the gorge.

Good to know
The canyon and the baths suit anyone who can walk on uneven ground. The ridge hikes are five to six hours and ask for a bit more.
Yes - the Ultimate Vjosa Rafting, Langarica Canyon & Off-Road Thermal Combo does exactly that: rafting in the morning, a riverside barbecue, the canyon in the afternoon and the Bënja thermal pools to finish.
Entry to Bënja is a couple of euros paid on site; bring small cash.
