Nine kilometres of river that moves its own bed.
You meet us in the centre of Përmet, where the gear is fitted and the safety briefing happens before anyone touches the water. From there it is a short drive to the put-in, chosen that morning according to the river level - the Vjosa shifts its own bed, so the run is never quite the same twice.
Expect roughly nine kilometres of paddling: lively Class II-III rapids, quiet pools deep enough to swim, a cliff jump for anyone who wants it, and stretches where the canyon walls rise straight out of the water. Your guide reads the line, calls the strokes, and tells the stories of the last wild river in Europe as you go.

Yes, from six years old on the half-day run. Families are our most common group; the guide adapts the line and the pace to the boat.
In late summer we move to the sections that hold their flow. If the river cannot deliver a proper run we tell you honestly and offer kayaking or the canyon instead.
April to June for the biggest rapids, July and August for warm, calmer water and easy family days.
